I’m a New England-based writer. My work has appeared in The New York Times, GQ, National Geographic, Alta Journal, Boston, The Boston Globe Magazine, Ori, Scientific American, Smithsonian, Nautilus, Seattle Met, The Seattle Times, The Maine Monitor, and Undark, as well as “best of” lists compiled by Longreads, The Sunday Long Read, and Pocket. I’m the former features editor for Seattle Met magazine, where longform stories I wrote and edited won awards from the National City and Regional Magazine Association and Society of Professional Journalists Northwest.
